Day 1: TRABZON ARRIVAL
Arrive in Trabzon and transfer to your Hotel. Overnight & Dinner in Trabzon. (D)
 
Day 2: TRABZON - SUMELA MONASTERY
 
After breakfast, visit the 13th century Byzantine church of Hagia Sofia overlooking the Black Sea from a hill, continue to the summerhouse of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of the Turkish Republic in Trabzon. After lunch, proceed to UNESCO World Heritage site of Sumela Monastery, built in the 4th Century and is a is situated on a mountain plateau and offers panoramic views of the nearby pine forests and valleys. The Monastery is a Greek Orthodox monastery dedicated to the Virgin Mary in Altindere national park. Dinner & Overnight in Trabzon. (B&D)

Day 3: TRABZON & ERZURUM

After breakfast, depart  for  Erzurum through the region’s tea plantations.  Arrive in
 
Erzurum and visit the Twin Minarets Madrasa, the Royal Three Tombs, Mongol Yakutiye
 
Madrasa and the Grand Mosque. Dinner & Overnight in Erzurum. (B&D)

 
Day 4: ERZURUM – ANI
 
After breakfast drive across the vast plains along the Araxes River to Kars which is famous for its carpets, cheese and honey. Visit, the forgotten ruin city of Ani which was once the great capital of the local Armenian Kingdom. Its surviving monasteries, churches and the river gorge that forms the border with Armenia today offer one of the most dramatic views of Turkey for photographers. Day 5: DOGUBEYAZIT – VAN
 
After breakfast depart for Van, passing by the eternally snow covered Biblical Mount Ararat and stop at Muradiye Waterfall, then proceed to visit the Ishak Pasha Palace. In the afternoon, Dinner & Overnight in Van. (B&D)

Day 6: VAN – ADIYAMAN (KAHTA)
 
After breakfast, excursion to the island of Ahtamarto (Akdamar Island in Turkish) in Lake Van to visit the 10th century Church of the Holly Crooss, famous for Old Testament reliefs on the outer wall. Drive to Kahta. Dinner & Overnight in Kahta. (B&D)

 
Day 7: KAHTA (MOUNT NEMRUT) – GAZIANTEP (DEPARTURE HOME)
 
Early departure for a beautiful sunrise 03:30 am at the Commagene Nemrut, the region that lies between the Taurus Mountains and the Euphrates was called Commagene during the Greek and Roman periods. Nemrut mountain became a member of UNESCO World Heritage list and also a National park. a peak in anti-Taurus range rising to height of 8.000 feet, the Tumulus of Mithridates, be amazed by the colossal heads and statues of ancient deities, as you step into mythology. At the end of Nemrut tour go back to hotel for breakfast, after
 
breakfast; visit Commagene Capital of Arsemia, Roman (Cendere) Bridge, Blackbird Tumulus, New Castle and Arsemia old castle. Dinner & Overnight in Kahta. (B&D)
 
Day 8: KAHTA – GAZIANTEP (DEPARTURE HOME)
 
After breakfast check out from your Hotel and drive to Gaziantep Airport for your homebound flight. (B)
