TERM & CONDITIONS

The purchase of any travel services offered by Edit Turizm veOrganizasyonTic.LtdSti. "Edition Travel" constitutes a contractual arrangement between you and Edition Travel, and represents your acceptance of the Edition Travel's Terms & Conditions as well as services offered and set out herein. Please ensure that you read carefully and understand these Terms & Conditions prior to booking.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS and PASSPORT VALIDITY

Your passport must be valid for a minimum period of six months from the date of entry into Turkey and have at least three months validity from the date you are exiting Turkey. USA citizens need a visa to enter Turkey. Visas can be obtained in advance through the Turkish Consulates in the USA or upon arrival to Turkey.

DEPOSIT & PAYMENT

A deposit of 40% of the total payment is required upon reservation. You will receive a confirmation return email. The balance of your trip cost is due 45 days prior to departure and can be paid by mail order credit card or via Bank transfer. If booking 45 days or less prior to departure, payment must be made in full. If after paying your initial deposit you do not pay the balance of the cost of the holiday 45 days before departure, Edition Travel reserves the right to cancel your booking. N.B. International air fares are not included in our tour rates.

CONTRACT

From the time we receive your initial payment and completed booking form, a contract exists between you and Edition Travel.

RESERVATIONS

After receiving deposit payments, we begin to secure your reservations. We always aim to book services per the programme. However, in high season and for bookings made close to the departure date of the tour (less than 40 days) we may have to offer alternatives of similar standard.

CONFIRMATION

Once reservations are secured, clients will receive a confirmed travel itinerary. We will email further documentation such as vouchers, tickets, transfer details and/or any other service information essential for the programme prior to arrival.

BOOKING CHANGES BY CLIENTS

Any charges incurred by changes to the booking by the client after confirmation is received will be the Client's responsibility. A change of tour date or tour itinerary 14 days or more of departure will be treated as a cancellation, and normal cancellation fees will be applied.

TIPS and TAXES

All hotel and restaurant taxes, tips to porters, and hotel service charges are included in the tour rate. Tips to the Tour Guide and Driver are left to the discretion of the guests.

CANCELLATION and REFUNDS

All cancellations must be made in writing by email or fax and are subject to the following fees : Time before departure Charge 30 days or more 10% of tour cost 29-15 days 50% of tour cost Under 15 days is non-refundable. Exception to this policy cannot be made for any reason including weather or personal emergencies. Edition Travel highly recommends that all clients purchase a trip insurance policy covering trip cancellation due to emergencies. Edition Travel reserves the right to cancel any trip departure for any reason whatsoever, including insufficient take up or logistical problems that may impede trip operations. The refund of all land payments received shall release, from any further liability.

LIMITATION ON LIABILITY

Payment of your deposit represents your acceptance of the following terms and conditions:

Edition Travel, gives notice that services provided in connection with its itineraries, including transportation, hotel accommodations, restaurants, and other services, are purchased from various independent suppliers who are not affiliated with Edition Travel, in any way. Although it endeavours to choose the best suppliers available, Edition Travel has no right to control their operations and therefore makes these travel arrangements upon the express condition that Edition Travel, and its own agents and employees, shall not be liable for any delay, mishap, inconvenience, expense, irregularity, bodily injury or death to person, or damage to property, occasioned through the conductor default of any company or individual engaged in providing these services. Each of these passenger conveyance companies, tour companies, hotels, restaurants, etc., is subject to the laws of the state or country where the service is provided. Edition Travel shall not be liable for: (a) expenses such as additional hotel rights and meals not specified in the individual trip itineraries that may be required either en route, prior to, or following a trip, when caused by individual clients' travel arrangements, by airlines scheduling or airlines schedule changes, cancelled flights, missed flight connections, or by other factors not under Edition Travel's control; (b) expense incurred in recovering luggage lost by airlines, belongings left behind on a trip, or in shipping purchases or other goods home from abroad; (c) bodily injury or property damage for any reason, including but not limited to acts of God, weather quarantines, strikes, civil disturbance, theft, default, detention, annoyance, changes in government regulations, terrorism, war, or failure of conveyance to arrive or depart as scheduled, etc.., over which Edition Travel, has no control. Edition Travel reserves the right to decline to accept or to restrain from further participation any person it judges to be incapable of meeting the rigors and requirements of participating in the activities, or any person whose actions or deportment impede trip operation or the rights, welfare, or enjoyment of other trip members. A refund based on cost of unused land services is the limit of Edition Travel responsibility in such a case.

GUEST RESPONSIBILITY

Trip members have the responsibility to select a trip appropriate to their abilities and interests. Trip members are held responsible for being in sufficient good health to undertake the trip. Trip members are responsible for preparing for the trip by studying the itinerary and for bringing the appropriate clothing and equipment as advised therein.

COMPLAINTS PROCEDURE

Should a problem occur during a tour, it is essential to bring it to the attention of our representative/guide so that it can be resolved. Hotel room complaints should be addressed to the Hotel Management. If you remain dissatisfied any verbal notification must be confirmed in writing as soon as possible, and within 28 days after the end of the tour giving full details of your complaint. JURISDICTION : In case of disagreement between Edition Travel and its customers, the matter will be submitted to the Court of Justice of Caglayan Istanbul, who has the sole power to conclude. Any dispute arising between Edition Travel and its customers shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Turkish law.
