JOURNEY TO 7 CHURCHES OF REVELATION

Day 1: ISTANBUL ARRIVAL

Arrive in Istanbul Ataturk Airport. Meet and greet at the Airport and transfer to your Hotel in Istanbul. Overnight in Istanbul (-)
 

Day 2: ISTANBUL OLD CITY TOUR

After breakfast visit, St Sophia Museum, the pride of the Byzantine architecture. Byzantine Hippodrome, where once chariot races were held; The Blue Mosque, famous for its blue Iznik tiles; Topkapi Palace, the famous residence of the Sultans (The Harem section is excluded). Lunch at a Traditional Turkish Restaurant. After lunch enjoy shopping in Grand Bazaar, the world’s largest covered bazaar with 4000 shops. Overnight in Istanbul (B&L)
 

Day 3: ISTANBUL BOSPHORUS CRUISE TOUR

Today, explore the wonderful religious sites of Istanbul, the Kariye (Chora) Museum, which houses the most famous collection of Byzantine mosaics and frescoes in the world. Then, stroll through the Spice Market also called Egyptian Bazaar, be filled with the atmosphere of the exotic East then embark on a traditional boat for an unforgettable Bosphorus Cruise on the Bosphorus. Overnight at Hotel in Istanbul. (B&L)


Day 4: ISTANBUL – IZMIR (SMYRNA) BY FLIGHT

Early flight to Izmir. Upon arrival visit the sites of ancient Symrna(1) (the second Church of the Seven - Rev. 2:8-11). The St. Policarp Church, which symbolized the community of the Seven Churches of the Apocalypse. Pergamum(2) (the third Church of the Seven - Rev. 2:12-17).  Visit the Acropolis, Asclepion and the Red Basilica. Continue to visit the remains of the Church of Thyatira(3) (the fourth Church of the Seven - Rev. 2:18-29). Dinner & Overnight at Hotel in Izmir. (B/L/D)

 

Day 5: IZMIR – PAMUKKALE (HIERAPOLIS)

Drive to ancient Sardis(4) (the fifth of the Seven Churches - Rev 3:1-6), continue to Philadelphia(5) (the sixth of the Seven Churches – Rev. 3:7-13), which was referred to as the ‘New Jerusalem’ in the Book of the Revelation. Visit Hierapolis also called ‘the sacred city’ the combination of history and nature, it is well known for its hot springs. Overnight & Dinner at a Thermal Hotel in Pamukkale. (B/L/D) 

 

Day 6: PAMUKKALE – KUSADASI

After breakfast, visit Laodicea(6) (the seventh Church of the Seven – Rev. 3:14-20), visit the existing remains of the Cathedral. Then, continue to Aphrodisias, one of the largest archaeological sites in Turkey. Overnight & Dinner in Kusadasi. (B/L/D)

 

Day 7: KUSADASI – EPHESUS

Today, visit the Ancient City of Ephesus(7) (the first Church of the Seven – Rev. 2:1-7), the best preserved Greco-Roman City in the world, Basilica of St.John; it is believed that the evangelist St. John had spent his last years in the region around Ephesus and buried in the southern slope of Ayosolug Hill. The House of Virgin Mary, a pilgrimage site and the belief that the Virgin Mary had spent her last days in the vicinity of Ephesus .  Dinner & Overnight in Kusadasi. (B/L/D)

 

Day 8: IZMIR – ISTANBUL DEPARTURE HOME

After breakfast check-out from your hotel and transfer to Izmir Airport. Arrive in Istanbul and connect to your homebound flight. End of our Services.(B)
