Board your motorcoach and travel along the Taurus Mountains to Dalyan. Drive down a road lined with aromatic frankincense trees to your awaiting boat. Cruise up the Dalyan River. View the elaborate Lycian rock tombs before arrival to Caunos, founded in the 9th century B.C., Caunos rose to prominence as a major city in Caria during the 5th and 4th centuries B.C. Climb the acropolis and view the city gate and wall. The highlights of your walking tour are Caunos’ Hellenistic ruins, including the stoa (an arcade supported by columns), the fountain house, the palaestra (training grounds), the theatre, and the terrace temple. A Byzantine church is also situated within the city.
After your tour of Caunos, board your gullet and return to Dalyan, passing a protected breeding ground of the loggerhead turtle. Next, we will have a wonderful Lunch in Dalyan Village.
Next, after a short drive, we will have a chance to visit Iztuzu Beach where the endangered Mediterranean turtle “Caretta Caretta” has returned year after year to lay its eggs.
 
At the end of the day, we will return to Marmaris Port by coach for embarkation.
