Departure for your drive around the Bodrum peninsula, you will have a stop at the top of Gümbet hill where the old windmills are located and you will have a chance to take pictures of the harbor with an excellent view. Then after a short drive you will arrive to the Myndos Gate where Alexander the Great entered the ancient city of Halicarnassus at 334 BC.
En route to your next stop you will enjoy a brief visit to a traditional Turkish public market on the roadside at Ortakent.
Next is the village of Gümüşlük., Gümüş is the Turkish word for silver. Thanks to strictly enforced building prohibitions the sea front has kept its original appearance and photogenic fishing village charm. Your feet are touching historical ground here, it is the harbor of ancient Myndos and when the sea is shallow you can literally walk to the small island located on the right of the cove.
At the end of the tour, you will return to Bodrum port and the ship.
